Ravindra Chandra Bhargava (born 30 July 1934) is the formerC.E.O and current chairman ofMaruti Suzuki, the largest automobile manufacturer in India, having joined the company after serving twenty-five years as anIndian Administrative Service officer.[1][2][3]
Bhargava was educated atThe Doon School,Allahabad University andWilliams College, Massachusetts. After a long career as anIndian Administrative Service officer, he joinedMaruti in 1981, where he has remained ever since.[4] In 2016, he was awarded thePadma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award in the Republic of India.[5]
