Quri Winchus (Quechuaquri gold,winchushummingbird,[3][4] "gold hummingbird", hispanicized spellingsCori Vinchos, Cori-Vinchos, Corivinchos) is an archaeological site with remains of circular buildings of theWanka period inPeru. It is located in theJunín Region,Jauja Province,Canchayllo District. The site was declared a National Cultural Heritage byResolución Directoral Nacional No. 925 on September 18, 2001.[2] It is situated at a height of 3,850 m (12,630 ft) at the foot of a mountain named Winchus(Vinchos).[1]
