Quimari Peterson is an Americancollege basketball player for theEast Tennessee State Buccaneers of theSouthern Conference (SoCon). He previously played for theIndiana State Sycamores andJohn A. Logan Volunteers.

Career

Peterson attendedWest Side Leadership Academy inGary, Indiana. As a senior, he averaged 14.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game before committing to play college basketball atIndiana State University.[1] After playing sparingly as a freshman with Indiana State, he transferred toJohn A. Logan College. As a sophomore, he averaged 13.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, helping lead the Volunteers to a NJCAA Division I national championship, before transferring for a second time toEast Tennessee State University.[2] In his first season with the Buccaneers, he made an instant impact, averaging 13.5 points and 3.7 assists per game.[3] The following season, he emerged as the team's leading scorer.[4] At the end of the season, he was namedSouthern Conference Player of the Year.[5]
