QuickTime Broadcaster is media streamingsoftware produced byApple Inc. forMac OS X.[1] The software is anaudio andvideoRTP/RTSPserver. It is separate from Apple'sQuickTime Streaming Server, as it is not a servicedaemon but a desktop application. It is able to stream live video and audio over a network in anyQuickTime supported streamingcodec.
Most QuickTime software was functionally defunct as of the release ofmacOS Catalina in 2019, with most functionality replaced byAVFoundation.[2]
