Quetta Division is an administrative division ofBalochistan Province,Pakistan, being the third tier of government.CNIC Code of Quetta Division is 54.

In 2015, theBalochistan Assembly unanimously passed a resolution calling upon the provincial government to establish a newRakhshan Division comprising the districts ofNushki,Chagai,Kharan, andWashuk which were parts of Quetta andKalat.

History

On 14 October 1955,Quetta was created as an administration division ofBalochistan Province.

According to the2023 census, Quetta division had a population of 4,259,163[6] roughly equal to the country ofGeorgia[7] or the US state ofKentucky.[8]
