InMandaeism,Qin (Classical Mandaic:ࡒࡉࡍ) is the mother ofRuha andZahreil, and grandmother ofUr in theWorld of Darkness (alma ḏ-hšuka) orunderworld. InMandaean texts, she is frequently mentioned as the "queen of darkness." One of her epithets isSumqaq (ࡎࡅࡌࡒࡀࡒ), which also refers to a well of polluted water in the World of Darkness. Her husband is the demonAnathan.[1]

In Book 5 of theRight Ginza, Qin gives her daughterZahreil forHibil to marry.[2]
