Qazhal (Arabic:قزحل, also spelledGazzal orKazhil) is a village in westernSyria, administratively part of theHoms Governorate, just west ofHoms. Nearby localities include theal-Waer suburb of Homs to the east,Khirbet al-Sawda to the north,Khirbet Tin Mahmoud to the northwest andKhirbet Tin Nur to the southwest. According to theCentral Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Qazhal had a population of 2,271 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlyTurkmens.[2]
