Qatanqor (Persian:قاطانقر, alsoRomanized asQāṭānqor andQātānqor)[1] is a village located inBehi-e Feyzolah Beygi Rural District, within theCentral District ofBukan County,West Azerbaijan Province,Iran. According to the 2006 census, Qatanqor had a population was 147, in 30 families.[2]
According toVladimir Minorsky, the name "Qatanqur" may be derived from theMongolian wordqatanghir, meaning "slender".[3]: 68
