Qalandar District (Pashto:قلندر ولسوالۍ,Persian:ولسوالی قلندر) is situated in the western part ofKhost Province, Afghanistan. It bordersPaktia Province to the west,Musa Khel District to the north and east andNadir Shah Kot District to the south. The population is 9,100 (2006)[1]. The district center is the village ofKhost Mela33°30′54″N69°40′40″E / 33.5150°N 69.6778°E /33.5150; 69.6778.
