Qala-e-Naw, alsoQalay-e-Naw orQalanou (Dari:قلعه‌نو) is adistrict in the west ofBadghis Province,Afghanistan. The majority of its population are SunniHazaras, with significant numbers ofTajiks,Pashtuns,Balochs,Uzbeks, andTurkmens.^{[citation needed]}

The district capital isQala e Naw city, which is also the provincial capital. The district is known for itspistachio forests.^[1]
