Puri Beach or theGolden beach is a beach in the city ofPuri in the state ofOdisha,India. It is on the shore of theBay of Bengal. It is known for being a tourist attraction and aHindusacred place.[1][2] The beach is the site of the annual Puri Beach Festival, which is co-sponsored by theIndian Ministry of Tourism, the city of Puri
, theDevelopment Commissioner of Handicrafts, and theEastern Zonal Cultural Center,Kolkata.[3] The beach hostssand art displays, including work by international award-winning local sand artistSudarshan Pattnaik.[4][5][6][7] The Golden Beach at Puri was awarded the prestigious 'Blue Flag' tag on October 11, 2020 by the Foundation for Environment Education (FEE), Denmark.
