Psi3 Aquarii,Latinized from ψ3 Aquarii, is theBayer designation for a visualbinary star[9] system in theconstellation ofAquarius. It has anapparent visual magnitude of 4.98,[2] which is bright enough to be seen with the naked eye.Parallax measurements give a distance estimate of roughly 262light-years (80parsecs).[1]

The main component of this system is anA-type main sequence star with astellar classification of A0 V.[3] Its companion is an 11th magnitude star 1.5arcseconds from the primary.[10] This system is anX-ray source with a luminosity of8.34 × 1029erg s−1. This radiation most likely comes from the companion star.[9]
