Prototrox transbaikalicus is an extinct, fossil species ofhide beetle that lived in modern-day regions of Mongolia andTransbaikalia during theLower Cretaceous.P. transbaikalicus is the only species of both the genusPrototrox and the subfamilyPrototroginae.[1][2]
