Priory of St. Wigbert

ThePriory of St. Wigbert (German:Priorat Sankt Wigberti) is anecumenicalBenedictine monastery for men, named afterSaint Wigbert, belonging to theLutheran Church of Thuringia. It is located inWerningshausen nearErfurt in Germany. This community includes theCongregatio Canonicorum Sancti Augustini.[1][2]

Brethren in the priory areLutheran,Roman Catholic andEastern Orthodox, following theRule of St Benedict. Theprior is the Lutheran pastor Franz Schwarz.[3]
