The newspaper was formed by the 1985 merger ofThe Evening Press (which was known asThe Binghamton Press prior to 1960) andThe Sun-Bulletin. It is owned byGannett,[2] who purchasedThe Binghamton Press in 1943 andThe Sun-Bulletin in 1971.
