President pro tempore of the Virginia Senate

ThePresident pro tempore of the Senate of Virginia is aVirginia constitutional office whose role is to serve as the presiding officer of theSenate of Virginia in the absence of theLieutenant Governor. The office is established in Article IV, Section 7 of theConstitution of Virginia.^[1] The current office holder isLouise Lucas.
