Prasad Khandekar (born 5 May 1984) is an Indian actor and script writer, best known for his work in theMarathi comedy showMaharashtrachi Hasyajatra. He entered the film industry with the 2022 Marathi dramaLochya Zaala Re and made his directorial debut in 2023 withEkda Yeun Tar Bagha.
Prasad Khandekar hails fromMumbai,Maharashtra. His father, Mahadev Khandekar, was the branch chief ofShiv Sena and died when Prasad was 14 years old.[4] Before becoming an actor, Prasad was asportsperson and was even selected for theMumbai cricket team from under-14. However, he had to leavecricket due to an accident and was undergoing treatment atKEM Hospital for almost three months.[5]
In 2018, he made his OTT debut with Netflix's first Indian Web SeriesSacred Games.In 2022, he made his Marathi feature film debut withLochya Zaala Re[6] and also appeared in the Hindi web seriesMiya Biwi Aur Murder, starringRajeev Khandelwal andManjari Fadnis.[7]
In 2023, he made his directorial debut withEkda Yeun Tar Bagha... Return Janarach Nahi.[8] In 2025, he appeared inChikiChiki BooBoomBoom and also served as the film's director.[9]
