Prabhjot Singh is an Indian formerfield hockey player who played for theIndian national hockey team. He is best known for his fast and attacking play.
Prabhjot debuted for theMen's National Team in 2001. He was part of the national squad in the2004 Athens Olympic, where India finished in 7th place. Apart from representing India inhockey, he is also an officer inIndian Oil. He was the captain of theSher-e-Punjab team in theWorld Series Hockey in 2012. Prabhjot is an alumnus ofJamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.[1]
He was awarded theArjuna Award in 2008 for exceptional performance as an Indian striker.[2]
DuringFIH World Cup, 2010 he showed themiddle finger to the home crowd after a loss 2–4 loss againstArgentina. He later apologized for this act.[3]
