Powellvenator (meaning "Jaime Powell's hunter") is anextinctgenus ofcoelophysoidtheropoddinosaur that lived during the latter part of theTriassicPeriod in what is now northwesternArgentina. Fossils of the dinosaur were found in theLos Colorados Formation of theIschigualasto-Villa Unión Basin. The type species,Powellvenator podocitus, was named byMartin Ezcurra in 2017.[1]
