Post Office Square is apublic square inBrisbane,Australia. It is located betweenQueen Street andAdelaide Street in theBrisbane CBD, and has an area of 3,300 m2.[1]
Under the square is ashopping arcade and six-levelcar park.[4] The square is opposite theGeneral Post Office building on the Queen Street side, andANZAC Square on the Adelaide Street side.
Post Office Square was opened in 1984.[2] In 2008 theSir William Glasgow Memorial was moved to the square, facingANZAC Square.[5]
Protesters camped in Post Office Square from 15 October 2011 as part ofOccupy Brisbane, before being evicted on 1 November.[6]
