Portrait of Frederick Robinson is an 1824portrait painting by the English artistSir Thomas Lawrence of the politician andmember of parliamentFrederick Robinson.[1] Robinson was madeLord Goderich in 1827 and succeededGeorge Canning asprime minister. After his short-lived administration, he later served asWar Secretary and was in 1833 elevated toEarl of Ripon.[a] It is now in the collection of theNational Portrait Gallery, London,[2] while a print based on the portrait is now in theBritish Museum.[3]
