Port Ellen (Scottish Gaelic:Port Ìlein) is a smalltown on the island ofIslay, inArgyll,Scotland. The town is named after the wife of its founder,Walter Frederick Campbell.[2] Its previous name,Leòdamas, is derived fromOld Norse meaning "Leòd's Harbour".
