Porolepis is an extinct genus ofporolepiformsarcopterygian fish,[1] from theEarly DevonianDniester Series of Ukraine, which is rich inPorolepis remains, and also theNellen Koepfchen Beds of Germany.[2][3] It lived alongside the dubiouslophotrochozoanMacrodontophion.[4] It was first described in 1858[5] butPorolepis was not named as a sufficient species until 1891.[6]
