[edit]

The team for the song visited several countries to picturize the song "Poovukul", which featured scenes with seven famous buildings,[7] dubbing Aishwarya Rai as the "eighth wonder of the world".[5] Shankar admitted that due to no real list being present, thought had been put into which wonders were selected.[8] The team made a thirty-day trip around the world stopping to can scenes at theLeaning Tower of Pisa, theColosseum, theEmpire State Building, theGreat Wall of China, theTaj Mahal, theEgyptian pyramids, and theEiffel Tower. The death ofPrincess Diana had delayed filming inFrance for the Paris schedule.[9] The costumes for the song were designed by Aneez Jeeva andAnu Parthasarathy.[10]

The first part of the song was shot in Paris, France. Later filming moved toRome andPisa inItaly. Thirdly inNew York City,United States, then toGiza,Egypt, and on toGreat Wall of China and lastly atTaj Mahal inIndia. For the most part,Jeans was surrounded by world events of varying sorts and for Shankar, the cast and crew of the film described the experiences as "tremendously vivid and memorable".[9]
