Pompeo Ciotti (Pistoia, 1858–1915) was an Italianfreemason[1] and political activist.[2]
In 1898 he was sentenced to four years and two months in prison for the crime of incitement to violent overthrow of the constitution.[3]
He served as secretary of thePaviaChamber of Labour[4] and later of theItalian Socialist Party (PSI).[5][6]: 34
In 1912 he was elected secretary of the breakawayItalian Reformist Socialist Party, established after the expulsion from the PSI of those members who did not support its position opposing theItalian invasion of Libya.[7][6]: 39
