ThePolish Diaspora Day[a] is apublic holiday celebrated inPoland on 2 May, to commemorate thePolish diaspora around the world.[1] It was established on 20 March 2002, by theSejm of Poland (lower house of the parliament), from the initiative of theSenate of Poland (upper house of the parliament).[2] It is celebrated on the same day as thePolish National Flag Day. It takes place a day after theInternational Workers' Day (1 May), and a day before the3 May Constitution Day (3 May).[1]
