Polish Christian Democratic Party (Polish:Polskie Stronnictwo Chrześcijańskiej Demokracji, PSChD, commonly known asChrześcijańska Demokracja orChadecja[1]), was apolitical party of Polishright wingChristian democracy faction existing in the first year of theSecond Polish Republic. Its leader and main activist wasWojciech Korfanty.
In 1922,Chadecja became part of theChrześcijański Związek Jedności Narodowej (Chiena) coalition. Part of theChjeno-Piast coalition after signing theLanckorona Pact in 1923.
After theMay Coup of 1926, split into three factions. Member ofCentrolew coalition in 1929. Member ofFront Morges coalition in 1937, and merged withNational Workers' Party to form theLabor Party.
