Pokémon Pokopia[a] is an upcominglife simulation game developed byGame Freak andKoei Tecmo'sOmega Force and published byNintendo andThe Pokémon Company for theNintendo Switch 2.[2] It is aspin-off of the mainPokémon series.[3]
Players control aDitto who is imitating a human.[4] The game featurescrafting and building mechanics that players use to befriend newPokémon, who can then teach the Ditto new moves to use to interact with the environment.[5] As players progress and build the area around them, they attract more Pokémon. The game has a day and night cycle linked to real world time and features differentbiomes.[2][6]
The game was announced during aNintendo Direct in September 2025.[7][8] It is set to release on March 5, 2026.[9][10][1]
The game is developed byGame Freak andKoei Tecmo'sOmega Force which before Pokopia, they worked with Square Enix onDragon Quest Builders 2, another co-developed life simulation title and used their experience with the title to co-develop it.[11]
