Pokémon Champions is an upcomingstrategy video game developed byThe Pokémon Works and published byNintendo andThe Pokémon Company for theNintendo Switch,Android andiOS. It is a spin-off of thePokémon video game series focused on multiplayer gameplay. It was announced on February 27, 2025 during aPokémon Presents livestream, alongside the gameplay reveal ofPokémon Legends Z-A.[1] The game is scheduled to be released in 2026.[2]

This is the first game from The Pokémon Works, a joint venture between The Pokémon Company andILCA.[3] As a turn-based strategy game, it is expected to be similar in gameplay to thePokémon Stadium series of video games, and will feature compatibility withPokémon Home andPokémon Scarlet andViolet,[3][4][5] as well as cross-platform play between mobile platforms and Nintendo Switch.[1] It has been confirmed to support Mega Evolution, Z-Move, Dynamax, and Terastallization.[1] The game will also be used in place of the latest game in the mainline series at VGC events organized byPlay! Pokémon, including thePokémon World Championships.[6]
