Pliodelphis (meaning "Pliocene dolphin") is agenus of smalldelphinid (oceanic dolphin)cetaceans that lived inBelgium during theEarly Miocene epoch, about 5 million to 4.4million years ago. The genus contains thetype speciesPliodelphis doelensis, named and described in 2021 based on a partial skull recovered from thelittoralKattendijk Formation.[1]
