Plattin is anunincorporated community in southeastJefferson County, in theU.S. state ofMissouri.[1]
The community is located on the west side of thePlattin Creek floodplain approximately six miles south ofFestus.[2]
A post office called Plattin was established in 1858, and remained in operation until 1941.[3] The community takes its name from nearbyPlattin Creek.[4] Plattin has 1 elementary school which is a part ofJefferson County R-VII School District.
