Platanus orPlatanous (Ancient Greek:Πλατανοῦς) was a town on the coast ofCilicia Aspera, west ofAnemurium. TheStadiasmus Maris Magni places Platanus 350stadia from Anemurium,[1] which is most likely incorrect.William Smith posited a distance of 150 stadia.
Platanus is tentatively located near modernMelleç İskelesi, inAsiatic Turkey.[2][3]
