Plácido de Castro Futebol Club, commonly known asPlácido de Castro, is aBrazilian football club based inPlácido de Castro,Acre. The club currently competes inCampenato Acreano, the top division of the Acrestate football league.

Rio Branco is currently ranked fourth among Acre teams inCBF's national club ranking, at 205th place overall.[2]

History

The club was founded on 3 November 1979.[3] The club finished in the third position in theCampeonato Acriano in2008.[4] They competed in theSérie D in2011. Plácido de Castro won the Campeonato Acriano in 2013.

Plácido de Castro Futebol Club play their home games atEstádio Municipal José Ferreira Lima.[3] The stadium has a maximum capacity of 3,000 people.[3]
