Apiwancha is aNepalichordophone with two strings and adrum at one end.[1][2] It is abowedinstrument believed to have been played by members of thejyapu caste ofNewars in theKathmandu Valley during theMalla period.[3] No original artifacts have survived, though images have enabled the creation of reproductions.[1][4]

The strings are tuned to C and G.[2]
