Pitobash Tripathy (born 1984), also known simply asPitobash,[1] is an Indian actor who works inBollywood films. He is known for his role in the moviesI Am Kalam,Begum Jaan,Shor in the City,[2]Mom, theHollywood filmMillion Dollar Arm and the National Award-winning Odia filmKalira Atita.[3][4][5]

Early life and education

Tripathy was born in 1984 inNayagarh,Odisha.[6][7]He was brought up inBhubaneswar where he completed his schooling from the Government High School, Unit 1, Bhubaneswar. Then, he joinedBuxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College, Bhubaneswar for his higher secondary education. He completed a Bachelor of Technology degree in 2005 from theGovernment College of Engineering and Leather Technology fromKolkata, and he also holds a diploma in acting from theFilm and Television Institute of India.[8]

Tripathy was awarded with theNational Bal Shree Honour from the President ofIndia in the field of creative performance at the age of 12. He was also involved in theater inKolkata.[9][10] in 2007. Later on, he joined theBollywood industry as anactor.[11]

Career

Tripathy started acting with the movie99.[12] He then appeared in a supporting role in3 Idiots. Later, he acted inI Am Kalam, directed byNila Madhab Panda,[13] andShor in the City.[14][15][16] He also acted in the movieMirch in five different roles. Additional appearances include the filmsJoker,Aalaap,Shanghai andOnce Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara!.[17]
