Slovak Pirate Party (Slovak:Slovenská Pirátska Strana,SPS) is anon-governmental organisation established in December 2011 as thePirate Party of theSlovak Republic. The organisation is based on the model of theSwedish Pirate Party.[1][2][3][4] The party is a member of thePirate Parties International.[5]
Two members of Slovak Pirate Party became candidates to theSlovak Parliament in theMarch 2012 election, enlisted on the ticket of the newly established political partyOrdinary People and Independent Personalities - Peter Blaščák at number 70 and Martin Bibko at number 77.[6]
