Piotr Trzaskalski (Polish pronunciation:[ˈpjɔtrtʂasˈkalskʲi]; born February 5, 1964, inŁódź,Poland) is a Polishfilm director andscreenwriter.

Biography

A graduate of theNational Film School in Łódź. He is probably best known for his filmEdi (2002), which won several awards at theBerlin International Film Festival (2003) inBerlin,Germany,[1] and also won the specialAudience Award at the2003 Polish Film Awards from thePolish Academy.[2] In 2004, he became a member of theEuropean Film Academy.

His later filmMistrz (English:The Master) (2005) won the FIPRESCI Prize at theMiami International Film Festival (2006) inMiami,Florida.[3]
