Fortified town of ancient Paphlagonia

Pimolisa (Ancient Greek:Πιμώλισα), orPimolison,[1] was a fortified town ofancient Paphlagonia on theHalys River, near the western border ofPontus.[2] It had been destroyed byStrabo's time, but the district on both sides of the Halys was still calledPimolisene.[1]

Its site is located nearOsmancık,Asiatic Turkey.[3][4]
