Pierre-Marie-Maurice-Henri,^[1] marquis de Ségur (13 February 1853 inParis – 13 August 1916 inPoissy) was a French writer and historian, elected a member of theAcadémie française in 1907. He was the eldest son ofAnatole, marquis de Ségur [fr], and Cécile Cuvelier; and thus the grandson ofSophie Rostopchine, Comtesse de Ségur.
