Phytotaxa is apeer-reviewedscientific journal for rapid publication on any aspect ofsystematicbotany. It publishes on a wide range of subjects, but focuses on newspecies,monographs,floras, revisions, reviews, andtypification issues.Phytotaxa covers all plant groups covered by theInternational Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants, includingdiatoms,fungi,algae,lichens,mosses,hornworts,liverworts, andvascular plants), both living andfossil.[1]
The journal was established in 2009 byMaarten Christenhusz and the first issue appeared in October 2009. Authors have the option to publishopen access.[1]
