Phokwane Municipality (Tswana:Mmasepala wa Phokwane;Afrikaans:Phokwane Munisipaliteit) is alocal municipality within theFrances Baard District Municipality, in theNorthern Cape province ofSouth Africa. The name means "small Billy goat" inSetswana.[4]

The municipal council consists of nineteen members elected bymixed-member proportional representation. Ten councillors are elected byfirst-past-the-post voting in tenwards, while the remaining nine are chosen fromparty lists so that the total number of party representatives is proportional to the number of votes received. In theelection of 1 November 2021 theAfrican National Congress (ANC) won a majority of ten seats on the council.[6][7]The following table shows the results of the election.
