Weekly Philippine music chart by Billboard magazine
American singer-songwriterTaylor Swift had the most chart entries inBillboard Philippines Songs, with 72 songs. Philippines Songs was amusic record chart in thePhilippines , compiled byBillboard since February 2022. Updated every Tuesday onBillboard ' s website, the chart was announced on February 14, 2022 as part ofBillboard ' sHits of the World chart collection, ranking the top 25 songs weekly in more than 40 countries around the globe.[ 1] This was the first localBillboard chart in the Philippines since the discontinuation of thePhilippine Hot 100 and four other charts afterBillboard Philippines halted its operation for an undisclosed reason on January 15, 2018.[ 2]
The first number-one song on the chart was "Pano " byZack Tabudlo on the issue dated February 19, 2022.[ 3] [ 4] [ 5]
"Mahika " byAdie andJanine Berdin was the longest-running song on the chart with 72 weeks, ending its run on December 16, 2023.[ 6] Taylor Swift was the artist with the most entries overall, having 72 songs charted by the week dated May 4, 2024.[ 7] [ 8] [ 9]
The magazine published the last issue of the chart on June 18, 2024, for the week of June 29, withMaki 's "Dilaw " as the number-one song.[ 10] On July 1,Billboard Philippines discontinued the chart in preparation for the relaunch of thePhilippines Hot 100 chart and the introduction of the new Top Philippine Songs chart. The two new charts begin on July 3, with rankings updated every Wednesday.[ 11]
The chart tracks songs' performance from Friday to Thursday. Chart rankings are based on digital downloads from full-servicedigital music retailers (sales from direct-to-consumer sites such as an individual artist's store are excluded) andonline streaming occurring in the Philippines during the tracking period. All data are provided byLuminate Data , formerly MRC Data.[ 12]
List of number-one songs [ edit ] Zack Tabudlo 's "Pano " was the first song to debut at number one and became the longest-running single on the chart with eleven weeks.[ 4] [ 13] Janine Berdin was the first Filipina singer to reach #1 with "Mahika ". In collaboration withAdie , the song was the first Filipino duet on top.[ 14] In 2022, eleven acts achieved their first Philippine number-one single in the Philippines Songs chart, either as a lead artist or a featured guest:Zack Tabudlo ,Anees ,Troye Sivan ,BTS ,Joji ,Charlie Puth ,Jungkook ,Blackpink ,Adie ,Janine Berdin , andTaylor Swift . Out of the ten number-one songs in the calendar year, six singles debuted at the top spot. Zack Tabudlo's "Pano " became the first song to debut and peak at the summit, making it the firstOPM chart-topper and Tabudlo as the first Filipino to reach number one in Philippines Songs.[ 4] [ 15] [ 16] It was also the longest-running number-one single of the chart so far, having topped for eleven consecutive weeks.[ 13] [ 17] Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero " led the top place for nine weeks, the longest stay by a female artist on top.[ 18] Charlie Puth's "Left and Right " topped the chart for eight consecutive weeks, while Anees' "Sun and Moon " spent five weeks at the number-one spot after making its mark as the first international number one of the chart.[ 19] [ 20]
Adie and Janine Berdin's "Mahika " was the first Filipino duet to reach the summit, allowing Berdin to be the first Filipina to lead the chart.[ 14] [ 21] [ 22] Blackpink's "Shut Down " debuted at number one in October, ending the run of their own "Pink Venom ", both from the albumBorn Pink .[ 23] [ 24] The feat made Blackpink the first act to replace themselves at number one, and the only act in 2022 to produce multiple number-one songs.[ 25] [ 26]
