Philip Street (born 1959) is aCanadiancartoonist andanimator who lives in Toronto. He lived inBlyth, Ontario during his childhood and studied English atSt. Michael's College inToronto, as well as classical animation atSheridan College. He lived inKingston, Ontario, before moving to Toronto.
From 1990 to 1997 he was art director ofCompass, and subsequently became the founding art director ofVoices Across Boundaries.
He drew the satirical slice-of-lifecomic stripFisher, which appeared daily inThe Globe and Mail until 8 September 2012. An earlier strip,Rip Trousers, ran in theKingston Whig-Standard in 1993 and 1994.
Since 1998 he has also been agraphic designer at theCanadian Broadcasting Corporation, where he has worked onSesame Park,CBC Kids andThe Nature of Things. He has also directed 76 episodes ofPeter Puck forHockey Night in Canada.
