Peter Roche is an IrishFine Gael politician who has been aTeachta Dála (TD) for theGalway East constituency since the2024 general election.[1][2]

Roche was a Fine Gael member ofGalway County Council for theTuam area from2009 to 2024.[3] He stood unsuccessfully at1999 and2004 elections as an independent candidate.[4] He was an unsuccessful Fine Gael candidate at the2020 general election for Galway East.[4]

After the2024 local elections, he was elected as the new Cathaoirleach of the Tuam district.[5]

Personal life

Roche is married with four sons.[6]
