Peter Oxendale

English musicologist

Peter Oxendale (born 1950 or 1951 (age 74–75)) is an Englishforensicmusicologist and anexpert witness on copyright infringement in music.[1][2] He was involved as an expert in the notableBlurred Lines lawsuit.[3][4] He was a keyboardist in theglam rock bandsSparks[5][6] andJet and musical director forChris de Burgh.[7] Oxendale also played keyboards onIan Hunter'sOvernight Angels album in 1977. He also played keyboards for thenew wave bandsDead or Alive andFrankie Goes to Hollywood. In 1983, he served as touring keyboardist forJohn Foxx. In 1983/4, he appeared numerous times onTop of the Pops as part ofBonnie Tyler's band on her long running number one hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart".
