Peter Grant (born 11 March 1994) is aScottish professionalfootballer who plays as adefender.
Grant began his career withPeterborough United, but was unable to break into the first team and spent time on loan toThurrock[3] andHiston[4] before being released by the club in May 2014.[5]
In July 2014, Grant signed forScottish Championship clubFalkirk.[6] In his first season at Falkirk, the club reached theScottish Cup Final, where they playedInverness Caledonian Thistle. Grant scored in the final, making it 1–1, although Falkirk went on to lose 2–1.[7] His second season at the club ended early when he suffered acruciate ligament injury in a match againstLivingston in January 2016.[8] It was the second time Grant had sustained this injury, having injured his left knee as a seventeen-year-old at Peterborough.[9] He was released by Falkirk after the 2017–18 season.[10]
Grant signed forPlymouth Argyle in June 2018.[11] Plymouth cancelled his contract by mutual consent in January 2019.[12]
Grant then signed forLeague Two sideCarlisle United until the end of the 2018–19 season,[13] when he was released.[14]
On 8 July 2019, Grant signed forGreenock Morton.[15] After spells withQueen's Park andClyde, Grant joinedDumbarton on loan in February 2023.[16] On 13 July 2024, his contract with Clyde was cancelled by mutual agreement.[17]
Grant is the son ofPeter Grant, who played forCeltic in the 1980s and 1990s.[18] His brotherRay is also a footballer.[19]
