Pertain (French pronunciation:[pɛʁtɛ̃]) is a formercommune in theSommedepartment inHauts-de-France in northernFrance. On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new communeHypercourt.[2]
Pertain is situated on the D142 road, some 27 miles (43 km) southeast ofAmiens, in the east of the Santerre district.

Founded around the end of the first millennium, the village was first known as "Pertaing". Made up of several now-disappeared hamlets, such as "Mory", "Sacy-Les-Pertain" and “Berseaucourt”.
