InGreek mythology,Perseus (/ˈpɜːrsiəs, -sjuːs/;Ancient Greek: Περσεύς) was a prince ofPylos inMessenia.

Perseus was the son of KingNestor either byEurydice^[1] orAnaxibia.^[2] He was the brother toThrasymedes,Pisidice,Polycaste,Peisistratus,Stratichus,Aretus,Echephron andAntilochus.^{[citation needed]}
