Perafensine (INN; development codeHR-459) is adrug which was investigated as anantidepressant but was never marketed.[1] It has been reported to antagonize the effects ofreserpine and toinhibit thereuptake ofnorepinephrine (norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor); whether it also affects the reuptake ofserotonin ordopamine is unclear.[2]
