• Micromonas, first proposed in 1981 with the speciesMicromonas pusilla, but not validly published. Again proposed in 2000 with the new combinationMicromonas micros as type species, but ruled illegitimate due to the algal genusMicromonas.M. micros is now validly published asParvimonas micra.
• Schleiferella, proposed in 2001 as genus for several new combinations, all of which are now validly published inPeptoniphilus.
• Urinacoccus andUrinicoccus, with the type speciesU. massiliensis. The genus has been proposed twice, in 2016 and 2019, based on the same isolate.
